Over more than 25 years, community support has made it possible for White Bird to present world-class dance in Portland and become a bedrock of the city’s creative industry. Since presenting our first performance in 1997, the kindness of dance lovers like you has enabled us to expand our offerings.

As a non-profit organization, White Bird relies on donations to operate. The complexity and scale of our productions are vast, and just half of our revenue comes from ticket sales. Your support makes it possible for us to present high-caliber dance and serve the community beyond the stage.

Large or small, your generous financial gift to White Bird enables us to continue making dance exciting, educational, and accessible for all. White Bird happily accepts non-cash gifts as well, including stock and in-kind donations. However you choose to give, you can be proud knowing that your support helps bring the world’s best dance companies to Portland, and expands access to this powerful art form within the community.

All annual giving of $100 or more is recognized in the printed programs at our shows, as well as on our website. We lovingly call White Bird supporters our "Flock," and thank the supporters on our Flock List with invitations to private previews, advance access to single tickets, and more.

White Bird serves over 10,000 people annually through our outreach, performances, and initiatives. As one of only 13 dance presenting organizations throughout the US and the leading dance presenter on the West Coast, White Bird is a rare and valuable asset to Portland.
